Riverchase Homeowners Association - THAT WYLIE BAND is coming to Riverchase! The Wylie Band March-A-Thon will be coming thru Riverchase on Saturday, August 25th.   On Saturday, August 25th, That Wylie Band will conduct its 5th annual March-A-Thon fundraiser.  This is an important event for the band as it looks to raise funds for activities and expenses that the school district simply cannot provide for.  Beyond equipment like water coolers, or a new floor for the Colorguard to practice and perform, or their end-of-year celebration, some of the funds raised are for scholarships for these kids, and also for the junior high school kids that feed into Wylie High. Click here for the route the band will take.  Each year the band plays and marches through various Wylie neighborhoods, and this year they'll be in Riverchase, Country Ridge, and Quail Meadow.  They'll start early at 8:00a at Smith Elementary, moving through Riverchase, Country Ridge, and Quail Meadow in turn, finishing at Dodd Elementary, then taking buses to the Wylie Home Depot and Albertsons on Westgate, where they'll march through those stores and play a few tunes in the parking lot between 11:30a - 12:00p.  The kids will raise the money by accepting donations leading-up to the event, and will also collect donations along the route from the residents. If you'd like to support That Wylie Band, please donate online at www.thatwylieband.net, or contact your favorite TWB student, or come join along the route!  A few band members will come through the neighborhood and post small signs on Aug 20th that will help direct the band thru the neighborhood during the March-A-Thon.  You are being asked if you have one placed in your yard, please leave it there.
